Job Summary
Experienced Podiatrist needed in the Sacramento region to provide routine and referral podiatric services. Under the direction of the CMO, the Surgical Podiatrist performs examinations of the legs and feet, diagnoses bone, muscle, and joint disorders, performs surgical procedures when necessary, manages wound care, prescribes medications and therapies, advises on treatments and preventive care, and maintains medical records. Qualifications include a Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine (CA license required), board certification preferred, and 2+ years of professional experience. Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills, proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Office, and ability to work without sponsorship now or in the future are required. Compensation includes a base salary with potential for higher earnings based on net collections; comprehensive benefits and equal employment opportunity statements are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of California
- Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
- Board certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery preferred
- Minimum of three (2) years professional experience preferred
- Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
- Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
- Ability to identify complex problems and develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- PC Proficient with Microsoft Office and EMR
