Job Summary
Diagnose and treat minor or serious injuries and diseases of the feet, ankles, and lower legs. Conduct foot and ankle surgeries, prescribe orthotics, and apply therapeutic treatments for conditions such as arthritis, fractures, and calluses. Examine patients to diagnose diseases, review medical history, and order additional tests like X-rays and ultrasounds when necessary. Treat sport-related injuries and use pediatric techniques including casting and laser therapy for deformities. Prescribe joint pain relief medication and advise patients on foot care and wellness practices. Requires a doctoral degree in Podiatry Medicine and practical clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- To be considered for this role, you should have a doctoral degree in Pediatric Medicine
- practical experience in a clinic or hospital
- Experience as a Podiatrist
- Excellent knowledge of therapeutic and surgical treatments for the lower extremities
- Familiar with all types of foot problems including genetic abnormalities and deformities
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well both with children and the elderly
- Empathy and patience when dealing with serious diseases
- Up-to-date with latest technologies and treatments in Podiatry
- Doctoral degree in Podiatry Medicine
