Job Summary
Examine patient legs and feet to diagnose diseases and treat foot and leg injuries such as fractures, corn, and calluses. Prescribe joint pain relief medication and foot orthoses to improve mobility while referring out foot and ankle surgeries where necessary. Advise patients on foot care and general wellness practices during 7-8 hour visits, typically Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexible schedules available. Manage preventative care for approximately 22-25 patients per visit. Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine (DPM)
- active state license
- 2 years plus experience in a clinic or hospital
- Excellent knowledge of therapeutic and surgical treatments for the lower extremities
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with the elderly
