Job Summary
Podiatrist sought for a rapidly growing medical practice serving residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities. The role involves direct patient care visits (2-3 visits monthly) with 7-8 hours per visit, diagnosing foot and leg conditions, treating fractures and foot/ankle issues, referring for necessary surgeries, prescribing orthoses and pain relief, and advising on foot care and general wellness. Requires DPM and active state license, plus 2+ years in a clinic or hospital setting, and strong interpersonal skills for elder care. All doctors are engaged as independent contractors (1099) with part-time scheduling (typical hours 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday) and compensation options paid by CPT code or a percentage of collections per visit.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine (DPM)
- active state license
- 2 years plus experience in a clinic or hospital
- excellent knowledge of therapeutic and surgical treatments for the lower extremities
- good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with the elderly
