Job Summary
Pneumatic Assembler roles involve pneumatic plumbing/piping, assembling, testing, completing and installing paper converting machinery. Reads and follows blueprints, shop orders, and specifications to build and assemble parts accurately and timely. Install magnehelic components and transducers with related plumbing; assemble and install cable, wire, and pneumatic tubing/hose management devices; install pneumatic and hydraulic control boxes; route and terminate pneumatic, hydraulic, grease and oiler tubing/hoses on equipment; sub-assemble pneumatic/hydraulic components; operate material handling equipment; utilize overhead crane and rigging procedures; maintain a clean work area. Travel is preferred. Protective clothing and PPE required; exposure to production environment with potential for loud noise; occasional travel for company business.
Required Qualifications
- Education generally equivalent to a high school diploma
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and perform metric conversions
- Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, shop orders, and specifications
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to collaborate with others (including in person) to proactively develop solutions
- Protective Clothing Required
- Occasional travel may be required
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Experience with material handling equipment, overhead crane, and rigging procedures
