Job Summary
Pneumatic Assembler role building and installing pneumatic/hydraulic components for paper converting machinery. Responsibilities include reading blueprints and shop orders, installing magnehelic components and transducers, assembling cable, wire, hoses, and tubing, wiring control boxes, routing and terminating pneumatic/hydraulic connections, sub-assembling components, operating material handling equipment, using overhead cranes and rigging, maintaining a clean workspace, and performing occasional department projects. Travel is preferred; PPE is required; lifting up to 50 lbs; production environment with loud conditions and regular travel.
Required Qualifications
- Education generally equivalent to a high school diploma
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; metric system conversions
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics; electrical code manuals and manufacturing instructions preferred
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with others to proactively develop solutions
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds regularly
- Proficiency with hand tools, electrical testing equipment; forklift, overhead crane, and machinery operation software familiarity preferred
