Job Summary
Prepare, administer, and grade examinations while assuring class attendance and timely grade submission. Plan and supervise student clinical experiences in assigned healthcare facilities, evaluating performance against learning outcomes and ensuring safety requirements are met. Assist with strategic planning for instructional initiatives, orient new faculty, and maintain accurate student records including skills check-off forms. Submit required program reports to the Director and participate in faculty meetings and committee activities. Provide immediate feedback on clinical performance and offer student advising through scheduled office hours and electronic communication.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with current licensure in the state in which you are applying to teach
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
- BSN required
- Master's in nursing preferred or must enroll in an MSN program within 5 years of start
- Able to meet the faculty requirements set by the Board of Nursing
- Current knowledge of nursing practice
- Ability to mentor students in classroom, lab and clinical settings
- Ability to work independently without close supervision
- Broad knowledge of nursing sciences
- Successful handling of day to day operations in the nursing lab
- Proficient, strong communications skills verbal and written
- Current knowledge/experience in clinical setting
- ATI, Assessment Technology Institute Certification
- Current immunizations
- Basic Life Support Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Master's in nursing preferred
