Job Summary
Lead and oversee the Project Management Office, providing direction, coaching, and performance management for the project management team. Establish PMO standards, governance, and reporting to drive consistency across fiber optic construction projects. Provide oversight of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring delivery meets scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations while partnering with Operations and client leadership. Monitor project performance through KPIs, resource utilization, and financial reporting to implement corrective actions for risks. Oversee project controls including scheduling, cost forecasting, change management, and risk mitigation. Utilize Vitruvi software to manage execution and promote consistent use across the team. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the PMO.
Required Qualifications
- On-site in Boca Raton, FL, with availability for occasional site visits
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Minimum of 7–10 years of construction project management experience, preferably within telecommunications or fiber optic infrastructure
- Minimum 7 years of leadership experience managing project managers, project coordinators, or PMO personnel
- Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple concurrent construction projects and leading project management teams
- Experience managing telecommunications, Outside Plant (OSP), and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) construction projects
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, project controls, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- High expertise with MS O365, including strong Excel skills for data and financial tracking
Desired Qualifications
- Fluidity with construction and project management software (Vitruvi experience is highly preferred)
- Proficiency with task management software (e.g., Asana, Wrike, Monday, Jira)
