Job Summary
Lead the BSD Project Manager team by setting performance expectations, conducting regular 1:1s, and balancing workload across complexity and capacity. Enforce end-to-end PMO governance including stage gates, artifact standards, and the Change Control Board to ensure baseline discipline and change control enforcement. Own the PMO framework by optimizing project lifecycle standards, eliminating systemic breakdowns, and codifying lessons learned to raise methodology maturity. Deliver executive-ready portfolio reporting through weekly health reviews, monthly performance packs, and real-time dashboards tracking schedule, budget, and resource variance. Monitor cost performance and forecast-to-complete, initiating recovery actions when variances exceed thresholds while partnering with the Financial Controller on P&L tracking. Standardize RAID governance across the portfolio, surface cross-project dependencies proactively, and run post-implementation reviews to embed improvements. Drive the Center of Excellence to produce data-backed insights for the Director and CCO, ensuring projects consistently meet or outperform pre-estimated budgets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
- 7+ years in PMO leadership, portfolio governance, delivery assurance, or project controls
- minimum of 3 years in a role with direct line management of Project Managers or delivery professionals
- Proven track record building or significantly improving a PMO framework from near-scratch
- ability to articulate what changed, why it changed, and what the measurable outcome was
- Demonstrated experience governing a portfolio of 8 or more concurrent complex implementations in technology, B2B, or professional services environments
- Strong background in portfolio analytics and performance reporting, including KPIs, health frameworks, trend analysis, schedule and budget variance, and RAID analytics
- Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Engineering, and commercial teams within a RACI-governed delivery model
Desired Qualifications
- PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP, or MoP certification, one or more
- Agile certifications such as CSM, PSM, or SAFe
- prior experience in a Centre of Excellence, PMO transformation, methodology office, or operational excellence function
