Job Summary
Independent contractor PMHNP with an active California license to provide psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning, including medication management, for patients in a telehealth-enabled behavioral health network. The role involves conducting diagnostic assessments, managing mental health conditions (e.g., depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction), performing crisis management, and delivering care via an EHR/telehealth platform. Rula handles credentialing, billing, marketing, insurance verification, audits, and compliance, enabling you to focus on patient care. Flexible scheduling, paneled with insurance, and potential to see patients quickly (as fast as 30 days). Requires ANCC PMHNP certification, CA DEA, PMP, master's or doctoral degree in psychiatric nursing, and demonstrated clinical experience; telehealth capability is required. Location noted: New Orleans, LA, US.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted California PMHNP license
- DE A number registered in California
- Certification as PMHNP by ANCC
- 1+ years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner with mental health assessment, diagnosis, triage, treatment planning, and crisis management
- Registration with state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP)
- No suspensions/debarments from federal programs
- Master's or Doctoral degree in psychiatric mental health nursing
- Ability to provide telehealth
- Independent licensure or collaborating MD as required by state law
