Job Summary
Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for children and adolescents, creating personalized treatment plans that include prescribing medications and managing lab results. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychotherapists, to ensure integrated care and provide education to patients and families. Manage diagnostic testing and maintain thorough, confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Participate in weekly supervisory clinical meetings and meet with a cohort and supervisor to discuss progress and challenges. Work from the Pittsburgh, PA clinic up to three days a week, with twelve of forty weekly hours scheduled during peak after-school or weekend times. Complete a nine-to-twelve-month residency program followed by a two-year commitment as a senior team member.
Required Qualifications
- National certification of a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- 12 of your 40 weekly hours are required to be during our peak after school hours defined as after 4 pm ET during the week or any time on a weekend
- Flexibility to work in person at our Pittsburgh, PA clinic up to 3 days a week
- Master's degree from an accredited nursing program (PMHNP, Master's in NP) and must have graduated in the last ~12 months or have less than 1 year of work experience as a PMHNP
- Active PMHNP license and DEA in Pennsylvania (or on track to receive it by the time residency begins)
- Total commitment of three years (12-month residency plus 2 years following residency completion)
