Job Summary
Manage and perform daily quality control responsibilities for specific projects to ensure construction aligns with project specifications and industry standards. Create, update, and maintain project submittal logs and quality control reports while reviewing plans and submittals for conformance. Chair weekly QC meetings with the superintendent, document findings, and provide written daily reports that confront non-conformances. Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings to verify checklists before placing concrete, steel, and other materials. Verify and document that received materials are acceptable, stored appropriately, and meet contract specifications. Schedule and document code and independent inspections, correct non-conformances, and coordinate system testing and commissioning. Document pre-punch lists, punch lists, and completion dates, maintain "as-built" drawings daily, and assemble closeout documents including operations manuals and warranties. Stop work if necessary to resolve safety, quality, or process issues.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years' experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor engaged in general construction
- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers "Construction Quality Management for Contractors" Certification
- Must possess valid WA State Drivers License
Desired Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Engineering or Construction Management (preferred)
