Job Summary
Load and unload palletized freight using a sit-down forklift, process inbound shipments by inspecting and labeling cargo, and organize and stage freight for outbound routes. Notate damage or discrepancies on paperwork and report to a supervisor, while building and wrapping pallets by hand when necessary. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse by completing nightly housekeeping and lockdown procedures. This full-time night shift role at California Sierra Express requires operating a forklift, data entry, and lifting freight, with pay ranging from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of warehouse experience
- Computer data entry experience
- Experience operating a sit-down forklift
- Ability to safely lift and move freight throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum of one (1) year of forklift experience
- Ability to effectively communicate in English; verbally and in writing
- Ability to demonstrate basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and some division
Desired Qualifications
- Logistics or LTL freight experience
- Valid Driver's License, preferred
