Job Summary
Prepare treatment rooms and assist patients into therapy apparel or apertures while welcoming and comforting them. Apply heat packs, paraffin dips, and prescribed exercises; monitor motion, track walking time, and measure mobility. Transport patients safely between positions, assist with wheelchairs, and prevent falls. Sterilize and deliver equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and maintain inventory. Schedule appointments, answer calls, and forward treatment notes for billing. Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure a clean, safe environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Technician, Physical Therapy Aide Specialist, Medical Assistant, or closely related program
- CPR Certification with AED
- Minimum of one (1) year in a customer service-related role
- Skilled in use of computer/EMR systems
- Knowledge of Word processing software
- Knowledge of spreadsheet software
- Knowledge of Internet
- Knowledge of database software
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual speaking in English and Spanish
- Two (2) years in a customer service-related role
