Job Summary
Prepare treatment rooms, assist patients into therapy apparel, and monitor motion while applying heat packs and performing prescribed exercises. Transport patients safely between positions, manage wheelchair transfers, and deliver sterilized equipment to the treatment area. Maintain inventory levels, schedule appointments, and forward treatment notes for billing while ensuring strict confidentiality. Answer incoming calls to reschedule missed appointments and complete preventive maintenance on PM&R equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Technician, Physical Therapy Aide Specialist, Medical Assistant, or closely related program
- CPR Certification with AED
- Minimum of one (1) year in a customer service-related role
- Skilled in use of computer/EMR systems
- Knowledge of Word processing software, spreadsheet software, Internet, and database software
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual speaking in English and Spanish
- Two (2) years in a customer service-related role
