Job Summary
Host and Greeter at Peter B’s in Monterey, CA. Responsibilities include seating guests, managing wait lists during high volume, welcoming guests, escorting to tables, coordinating reservations with managers and the F&B coordinator, maintaining floor plans and seating assignments, notifying servers when guests are seated, balancing covers among servers, updating OpenTable with current table counts, reviewing reservations and notes, handling phone calls with professional etiquette, and keeping the host stand orderly. Knowledge of hotel restaurant operations, menu and wine list, and promotions is expected. Must be friendly, energetic, customer-focused, and able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Required certifications include California Food Handlers/ServSafe and state-approved Alcohol management certification; High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum 6 months of restaurant/hospitality experience preferred.
