PM Maintenance Mechanic (Monday-Friday/ 8am-5pm) - Reports to Kirk Walker

Job Summary

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all mechanical equipment, machinery, and components while adhering to GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance checks, lubrication, and changeovers on assigned equipment, operating machines to test adjustments upon completion. Conduct daily inspections, report findings promptly, and complete all required paperwork in a timely fashion. Share knowledge and techniques with team members, assist with training, and attend company-provided seminars. Operate roll manipulators, baler, and compactor while maintaining a clean work area. Work a 2-2-3 schedule, 15 days per month, with no mandatory overtime.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of all required maintenance training and assessments
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and components
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Basic knowledge of product specifications, quality specifications, goals, efficiency, scrap, and production
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to use all measuring tools, micrometers, Vernier calipers, etc.
  • Ability to run the equipment, hand tools, and power tools
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Walk / stand 100% of time during a 12–hour shift
  • Constant bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout shift
  • Constant climbing and reaching into machines to fix jams
  • Frequent reaching overhead during shift
  • Constant pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift
  • Constant lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Constant use of hands and occasional use of foot control
  • Constant light and firm grasping with hands throughout shift
  • Operation of roll manipulators, baler, and compactor
  • Daily sweeping and organizing floor and work area
  • Required participation in a daily pre-shift warm-up routine
  • Observes all safety rules and uses proper safety equipment at all times
  • Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical or vocational school training relating to mechanics
