Job Summary
Cook/Chef role focused on healthcare dining for NHC Place Sumner with daytime schedule (11am–7:30pm). Responsibilities include receiving and storing food and supplies with proper dating/labeling, reviewing menus/therapeutic menus/recipes and producing meals according to standardized recipes and diet orders, ensuring proper portions and presentation, testing and tasting foods for appearance, flavor, aroma, and temperature, and providing supervision when needed. The position emphasizes adherence to food handling techniques, portion control, and supporting a patient/resident-focused dining program within a senior care setting.
