Job Summary
Prepare and cook food items in accordance with Wren's high quality standards, ensuring daily line checks, ongoing audits of consistency, and adherence to photo-record plate setups. Support other cooks while enforcing health regulations, managing company assets within budget guidelines, and addressing guest concerns to maintain satisfaction. Lead by example with food safety and storage standards, ensuring a clean environment that meets local, state, and federal requirements. Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, and work extended hours based on business needs. This role contributes to achieving overall financial results, positive team relations, and the delivery of sophisticated Japanese street food fused with modern American elements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- College and/or culinary degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of progressive cook or kitchen experience
- Detail oriented
- Ability to communicate well with all levels within and outside the organization
- Ability to problem-solve with team members
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift
- Ability to work extended hours based on business needs
- Ability to physically walk, stand, carry, and lift throughout the shift
Desired Qualifications
- 2 or more years as a cook in a restaurant or hotel of similar size and reputation for outstanding service
