Job Summary
Operate equipment including a robot polisher, laser cutter, shear, and packaging stations to support production requirements while maintaining quality and safety standards. Interpret work orders, production routers, and bills of materials to perform assigned tasks, using hand tools effectively and verifying cut specifications against blueprints. Package, box, and label products according to company standards, complete daily paperwork, and perform 5S audits. Participate in continuous improvement efforts, team huddles, and one-on-one communications while maintaining a clean work area. This role supports the manufacturing of Heavy Duty trucks for Daimler Truck North America, with a starting pay of $19.55/hr up to $27.59/hr in Tooele, UT.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- 1–3 years of manufacturing or assembly experience
- Ability to use basic gauges, hand tools, and a tape measure accurately
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, wiring prints, and basic welding specifications (e.g., thickness)
- Skilled in using a hand polisher
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self‐motivated individual who takes pride in personal and team development
- Strong basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions
- Ability to perform precise, high‐quality work
- Strong organizational skills with accurate recordkeeping
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to stand or remain in a fixed position for up to 10 hours per day
- Consistently lifting up to 35lbs throughout the shift
- Ability to work in (or relocate to) Tooele, UT US
- Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country the position is located in at the time of application
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen

- Operate shear machine and verify accuracy of cut specifications
- Operate laser machine and validate measurements according to blueprints
- Operate robot polisher and perform manual polishing to meet blending specifications

- Use Navision for basic transactions
- Complete all required daily paperwork and update production boards
- Perform 5S audits and complete daily checklists
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts by providing process improvement suggestions
- Use daily discomfort logs and report any sickness or injury, regardless of severity
- Maintain a clean and organized work area through daily housekeeping responsibilities
- Be flexible and willing to move to different work areas based on production needs
- Be available to work overtime, including weekends, when required
- Participate in team huddles, group projects, and one‐on‐one communications
