Job Summary
Oversee Mercyhealth food service operations in the hospital unit; train and supervise staff; ensure health code compliance and sanitation standards; inspect kitchen and dining areas; manage inventory, scheduling, and hiring; handle cash logs and daily deposits; conduct performance evaluations; coordinate with Human Resources and the Food Service Manager to interview and hire staff; enforce policies and procedures; ensure meal service deadlines and equal division of tasks for efficient operation; maintain safety standards and support budgeted FTE targets.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year experience in the Food Service industry at supervisory level preferred
- Illinois Food Handlers card within 90 days of employment
- Certified in food safety with the State of Wisconsin preferred
