Job Summary
PM Field Service Mechanics perform routine maintenance on various types of customer and company-owned material handling equipment within a designated territory. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance tasks on various types of construction equipment in the field to prolong its lifespan, communicate with customers and co-workers regarding job progress and updates, maintain a safe working environment, and operate company vehicles. Key skills include strong mechanical aptitude, customer service, safety-first mindset, and ability to work independently, read schematics, diagnose hydraulic/electrical/mechanical systems, and use diagnostic tools. The position involves travel to customer locations, outdoor work in varying weather, and lifting requirements up to 100 pounds; company benefits include training, certifications, and comprehensive insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months to 1-year hands-on experience as a service technician/mechanic in the material handling equipment industry, or mechanical training/education, or experience in a related industry
- Own complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical aptitude/experience in hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems
- Familiarity with equipment operation
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Will require lifting up to 100 pounds and physical activities described
