Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance tasks on construction equipment in the field to prolong its lifespan while communicating effectively with customers and internal teams regarding job progress. Maintain a safe working environment by observing all safety laws and policies during on-site operations and vehicle travel. Work independently with minimal supervision, utilizing your own complete line of tools and specialized diagnostic equipment to service various material handling machines. This role involves traveling to customer locations in a van or truck across designated territories, encountering varying weather conditions and temperatures. You will work in operating facilities and outdoors, handling items weighing up to 100 pounds while wearing required safety gear.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months to 1-year hands-on experience as a service technician/mechanic in the material handling equipment industry, or mechanical training/education, or experience in a related industry
- Have your own complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical aptitude/experience in hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems
- Familiarity with equipment operation
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Occasionally may be required to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to wear safety glasses and safety shoes
- Must pass pre-employment background check
- Must pass physical abilities test
- Must pass drug test
- Must pass driving record check
