Job Summary
Maintain a clean and safe environment for students and staff by cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and grounds according to established schedules. Perform detailed tasks including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, window washing, carpet shampooing, wax stripping, and minor repairs such as fixing lockers, furniture, and installing hardware. Inspect and report maintenance needs, conduct site safety inspections, police grounds, and secure the building at shift end. Submit supply orders and monitor central and kitchen equipment logs. Complete special event cleanup, summer painting, and minor maintenance duties as assigned by the Lead Custodian or facility management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical ability to perform all job functions
- Ability to read and speak limited English
