Job Summary
Caregiver at WellQuest Living community providing personal assistance and routine daily care to residents per the Resident Care Profile. Responsibilities include assisting with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, grooming, hygiene, mobility, transportation to meals/activities), helping residents with mealtime, encouraging participation in daily activities, maintaining safety and a respectful environment, and communicating changes to supervisors. The role supports activities staff, assists with medication aide activities when needed, uses Universal Precautions, participates in safety protocols, attends mandatory trainings, and supports community marketing during tours and outreach.
Required Qualifications
- Must 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Obtain Food Handlers Card, if required
- One year experience in a health care environment or equivalent (preferred)
- Mathematical skills
- Reasoning skills
- Oral/Written communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to work with cognitively impaired individuals
- Ability to be mobile and perform physical requirements
- Health screening and background clearance requirements
- Current first aid training
