Job Summary
Plumbing Trade Manager leads plumbing and mechanical self-perform operations across large-scale healthcare, commercial, and modular construction projects. Responsibilities include estimating, workforce planning, procurement, scheduling, field execution, and trade coordination; review of drawings and contract documents; coordinating installation activities with field teams, subcontractors, engineering, manufacturing, and operations; bidding and awarding subcontracted trades; managing procurement, RFIs, submittals, changes, and project reporting; developing manpower forecasts; assigning field crews and labor resources; integrating sequencing into master schedules; ensuring safety compliance and adherence to SOPs and codes; monitoring project financial performance; training and mentoring field personnel; and traveling nationally to support active projects. Qualifications emphasize 10+ years in construction with plumbing oversight, strong estimating and budgeting experience for plumbing/MEP scopes, subcontractor coordination, and proficient use of MS Office; knowledge of codes and safety standards. Remote work flexibility with travel opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of construction experience with plumbing project oversight
- Experience managing plumbing and mechanical self-perform construction operations
- Strong estimating, quantity takeoff, budgeting, and cost management experience for plumbing, mechanical, or MEP scopes
- Experience managing direct labor and field construction teams
- Experience coordinating plumbing installation activities on large-scale commercial, healthcare, industrial, mission critical, or modular construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
- Experience overseeing subcontractors, procurement activities, scheduling, and project financial performance
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, mechanical systems, construction sequencing, and field installation practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of local construction codes, safety standards, and industry regulations
- Ability to travel nationally on an ongoing basis
