Job Summary
Execute effective troubleshooting to identify root causes of plumbing issues, including leak detection, and perform timely repairs on residential systems, fixtures, and appliances. Diagnose problems using drain machines, cameras, and locator equipment while ensuring compliance with local codes. Explain services and pricing to customers, establish rapport to sell appropriate products, and educate clients on maintenance plans and finance options. Maintain detailed service records with before-and-after photos, keep your truck clean, and mentor apprentices. Work alongside Customer Service and Dispatch teams, participate in training and meetings, and maintain a clean driving record. Requires a JM License and 3+ years of diagnostic experience.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with diagnostic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of residential plumbing, water heaters, tankless, and filtration
- JM License
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to provide repair versus replacement options to customers
- Knowledge of drain machines, camera, and locator equipment
- Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of required tools
- High School Diploma or GED
- Clean driving record
- Basic computer skills, ability to use an iPad to document work
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in the English language
- Ability to regularly stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Ability to frequently walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds
- Ability to be comfortable working in tight spaces for an extended period of time in attics and crawl spaces
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
