Plumbing Project Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct plumbing and fire suppression design calculations, equipment selections, and code research for major projects. Supervise design efforts, edit specifications, and perform existing system evaluations while ensuring compliance with standards and budget constraints. Manage site visits, construction administration, and client meetings to develop design concepts based on project goals. Mentor junior engineers, EITs, and technicians through ongoing training and guidance. Provide regular project status updates to senior leadership and maintain abreast of industry advancements through seminars and independent study. Travel for client presentations and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or Engineering Technology
- Registered P.E. in at least one state
- Understanding of engineering calculations and sprinkler hydraulic calculations
- Knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit software
- Knowledge of current codes and practices
- Travel required for presentations, client meeting etc.
