Plumbing Manager

Job Summary
Lead the plumbing department by exceeding monthly gross profit and net new membership targets while maintaining accounts receivable below 5% of revenue. Manage the crew, schedule, and quality of work through weekly ride-alongs, daily huddles, and monthly one-on-ones with service plumbers, installers, and apprentices. Own safety training, code compliance, and inventory control, reviewing estimates on larger jobs and approving invoices and expenses. Handle hiring, training, performance documentation, and terminations, while serving as the escalation point for after-hours issues via the on-call rotation. Review weekly payroll to manage overtime and partner with branch leadership to build the operational budget and hit objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of residential plumbing experience
- 3+ years in a supervisory or management role within a service industry operation, with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding revenue objectives
- Plumbing license as required by the applicable local jurisdiction in the Kansas City metro, or ability to obtain
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Must be willing to work hours outside the normal schedule as needed
- Must occasionally lift 5–10 pounds
- Requires good visual acuity at close range, at a distance, with normal peripheral vision and depth perception
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Experience with service software — ServiceTitan preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using a tablet, smartphone, and GPS
- Excellent communication skills with both customers and crews
