Job Summary
The Plumbing Instructor will plan, organize, and teach the Champions Craft Academy curriculum to help students achieve competency in plumbing as part of a nine-month contract. Responsibilities include delivering engaging classroom instruction, preparing detailed lesson plans and laboratory demonstrations, updating curriculum, monitoring student progress, collaborating with instructors and staff, maintaining a safe and well-equipped lab, managing attendance and records, participating in faculty activities, and assisting students with career placement and internships in the plumbing trades.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or General Education Equivalent (GED).
- Actively performed work in the construction, repair, inspection or design as they pertain to the residential, commercial or industrial industry for a minimum of three (3) years.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the construction trade and safety standards related to construction.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic computer skills demonstrating effective use of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to complete objectives without direct supervision.
