Job Summary
Install and maintain water distribution and sanitary plumbing systems while inspecting drainage for local and national compliance. Interpret blueprints to adhere to building specifications during installation of drainage systems and other plumbing materials. Use specialized tools to cut, thread, or bend pipes, repair damaged parts, and test fixtures to ensure proper functioning. Train new apprentices in proper techniques and follow state laws and building codes. Maintain a truck with complete inventory and lift up to 50 pounds. Requires three years of plumbing experience, a driver's license, and ability to work off ladders.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years plumbing experience
- Current driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing installations and repair of plumbing systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent mechanical skills
- Able to climb and work off ladders
- Physically able to work with tools and equipment
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
