Plumbing Field Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee plumbing projects by supervising plumbers and apprentices, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and local codes, and maintaining high workmanship standards. Manage project timelines, resolve on-site issues, and coordinate with other trades while communicating client needs and inspecting completed work. Provide training to team members, maintain accurate project records, and diagnose complex plumbing issues using technical expertise. Requires a Journeyman Plumbing License, 5+ years of hands-on experience, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Flexible hours including weekends and emergencies are required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial systems
- Active and valid Journeyman Plumbing License
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications
- Expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing water, gas, and sewage systems
- Familiarity with local and state plumbing codes and regulations
- Experience with various tools and equipment, such as pipe cutters, threaders, and soldering tools
- Ability to diagnose complex plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and supervisors
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, working in confined spaces, and handling tools for extended periods
- In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service, with a focus on professionalism and customer satisfaction
- Basic knowledge of mobile apps and work management software to track tasks and report on job progress
- Ability to lead apprentices, work well within a team, and coordinate with other trades on larger projects
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency calls, as needed
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work
- Ability to drive
- Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces
- Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
- Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
- Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch
- Regular exposure to extreme temperatures both indoors and outdoors, such as heat or cold, and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice or snow
