Job Summary
The Plumbing Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for plumbing and utility construction projects, involving analysis of project documents and collaboration with project management teams to develop schedules. This role includes soliciting and coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, engaging clients during the bidding process, and maintaining detailed records of estimations and bids. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, proficiency with estimation software, and excellent communication abilities, ensuring effective project bidding and management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Highly proficient in estimation software (e.g., Agtek Gradework, Bid2Win, Bluebeam Revu)
- Highly proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and the latest industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Capable of working in a team environment and handling client interactions professionally.
- Able to manage multiple bids and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel within local areas.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous field experience in surveying and/or project management
