Job Summary
Prepare detailed cost estimates for plumbing systems in medium to large scale construction projects by analyzing project blueprints and technical documents to assess material, labor, and time requirements. Collaborate closely with project management teams, engineers, and architects to provide essential cost information, risk assessments, and compliance guidance for informed decision-making. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain optimal pricing and contract conditions while attending pre-bid meetings and site visits to understand project scope. Maintain a comprehensive database of past projects and bids to refine costing models and ensure estimates remain accurate and competitive.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in construction estimating, with a specific focus on plumbing systems
- Strong familiarity with plumbing and related building codes and standards
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., QuickPen) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Drivers License for site visits and client meetings
Desired Qualifications
