Job Summary
Read and interpret technical plumbing data, civil and mechanical drawings, and specifications to provide material take-offs and quotations for contractors. Collaborate with branch and corporate teams to ensure proper, timely ordering of materials, submittal data, and shipment of quoted items to customer satisfaction. Research approved products that meet job specifications while determining the best advantage for Consolidated Supply Co. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Requires excellent computer skills and detail orientation.
Required Qualifications
- ability to read and interpret civil and mechanical technical documents (plans/drawings and specifications)
- ability to provide a list of materials (take-off) and quotations from such data to contractors
- estimating experience in construction trades
- detail oriented
- ability to successfully manage and complete multiple tasks simultaneously
- ability to meet deadlines
- ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- education in engineering, drafting or architecture
- equivalent in job related experience estimating projects in the building industry
