Job Summary

Design plumbing systems including details, risers, isometrics, and specifications while performing system design calculations and equipment selections. Lay out sanitary, grease, domestic water, and fire sprinkler systems and write studies and reports as needed. Oversee MEP design from concept to completion, managing interfaces with the design team and clients. Mentor and coordinate technical staff on multi-discipline projects, delivering tasks under minimal supervision. Write responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications for various clients. This role requires a Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and 5+ years of experience in plumbing, HVAC, and energy studies. Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • Proven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls
  • Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas
  • Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24
  • Experience mentoring and coordinating the work of EITs, designers, and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects
  • Able to manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability
  • Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is a plus
