Job Summary
Lead the design of plumbing systems for commercial and institutional projects, including water distribution, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage. Prepare detailed construction drawings, floor plans, and piping diagrams using Revit while ensuring compliance with the International Plumbing Code and local regulations. Manage project schedules and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define scope and deliverables. Conduct on-site surveys, resolve installation issues, and review submittals to confirm system functionality. Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment with minimal oversight.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of plumbing engineering design experience preferably with large institutional or commercial projects
- 4-year Engineering degree from an accredited college or university
- Equivalent work experience
- Strong working knowledge of REVIT
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Expertise in International Plumbing Code (IPC)
- Design application of local codes and standards on a project-by-project basis
- Advanced organizational skills
- Ability to work in a self-sufficient manner
- Strict attention to detail
- Demonstrated troubleshooter and problem solver
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- In-person participation in client meetings
Desired Qualifications
- ASPE-CPD
- Familiarity with NFPA 13
