Job Summary
Plumbing Designer/Engineer responsible for full-cycle plumbing system design and coordination in healthcare, K-12/higher education, government, and commercial projects. Lead BIM coordination in Revit, develop sanitary/vent, domestic water, storm drainage, grease waste, and specialty air/gas systems, perform system sizing and layout calculations per codes, manage lifecycle tasks from site investigations to shop drawing reviews, and collaborate with architects, engineers, and authorities having jurisdiction to ensure buildable, code-compliant designs. In-office role based in Maitland or Fort Myers, FL with relocation assistance available.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required for salaried engineer track) or equivalent technical design experience.
- Experience: 2+ years of dedicated plumbing design experience specifically within an MEP consulting firm environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced command of Revit (required) and proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of building plumbing codes, system sizing principles, and the nuances of commercial/institutional building systems.
- Location: Commitment to working 100% in-office in either Maitland, FL or Fort Myers, FL.
