Plumbing Designer II

Job Summary
Act as the primary designer on projects from kick-off to construction completion, coordinating all design aspects with other disciplines. Provide schematic design information including preliminary calculations, equipment sizing, and cut sheets while making engineering formulas and software for design. Prepare drawings, sketches, and construction documents by researching design options, code issues, and company standards. Organize project files and edit specifications, maintaining an efficient work area for team access. Solve engineering problems using experience and judgment, continuing learning through in-house seminars and external education.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- Technical/Associate Degree
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years of related work experience
- 3 years of related work experience
- 4 years of related work experience
- General knowledge of system design
- Understanding of applicable design codes
- Revit and AutoCAD drafting/design experience
- Knowledge on reading construction drawings
- Proficient use of computer for design and BIM drafting
- Use of computer programs for engineering analysis and equipment selection
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word)
- Proficient in using office equipment (e.g., computer, copier, etc.)
- Excellent research and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain flexibility with workload and project schedules
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines
- Ability to interact well with clients and co-workers, in the field and the office
