Job Summary
Design components or assemblies using engineering and architectural principles under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Engineer. Collaborate with project managers to create unique high-level concepts and work with the creative team to ensure successful project execution. Influence stylistic direction and deliver designs according to strict deadlines while handling basic issues and referring complex problems to higher-level staff. Perform duties in a fast-paced environment with 5-10% travel to job sites, requiring physical tasks such as climbing stairs and operating machinery. Possess beginning knowledge of the subject matter and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Required Qualifications
- 0 to 2 years of experience
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Planning skills
- Possesses beginning knowledge of the subject matter
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
- 5-10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location
- Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles
- Climbing stairs
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Operating machinery and/or power tools
- Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind
- Noisy environment
- Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from 20-100 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Drafting and Design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT
- Industry experience
