Job Summary
Design and develop plumbing systems for commercial, residential, and institutional projects, including domestic water, sanitary, vent, and storm drainage. Prepare layouts, plans, specifications, and construction documents while coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors. Perform code reviews to ensure compliance with local, state, and national standards, and support BIM and Revit-based workflows. Maintain accurate project documentation and participate in quality control reviews and technical coordination meetings. Manage multiple projects and deadlines within a collaborative engineering team.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of plumbing design or engineering experience
- Experience designing plumbing systems for commercial, residential, or institutional facilities
- Strong understanding of plumbing engineering principles and industry best practices
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Revit
- Knowledge of domestic water systems
- Knowledge of sanitary waste systems
- Knowledge of vent systems
- Knowledge of storm drainage systems
- Strong understanding of applicable plumbing codes, regulations, and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with BIM coordination and Revit-based project delivery
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure
- Experience working within multidisciplinary MEP engineering environments
