Job Summary
Senior Plumbing Engineer responsible for leading plumbing design from schematic concepts through construction documentation for complex commercial, institutional, and healthcare projects. Role emphasizes design leadership, technical stewardship of construction documents, resource and budget management, mentorship of junior designers, rigorous QA/QC for code-compliant documentation, and proactive client communication to ensure design alignment and project success. Must bring PE licensure, 8+ years of plumbing design experience in AEC, and expert proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD, with deep knowledge of plumbing codes, ASPE standards, and LEED requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
- Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience: 8+ years of dedicated plumbing design experience in a consulting or AEC environment focused on commercial or institutional sectors
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level Revit MEP and AutoCAD
- Code Mastery: Strong knowledge of local and national plumbing codes, ASPE standards, and LEED requirements
