Plumbing Contracts Administrator & Estimator

Job Summary
Prepare accurate plumbing estimates, review drawings and specifications, and perform material take-offs for commercial, industrial, and mining construction projects. Administer plumbing contracts throughout the project lifecycle, prepare variations and progress claims, and monitor project costs to identify overruns. Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment while liaising with suppliers and subcontractors. Support project managers with planning, scheduling, and documentation, ensuring compliance with plumbing standards and building regulations. Maintain accurate records and produce cost reports for financial performance monitoring. Work independently in a residential, site-based position in Port Moresby with accommodation and medical insurance provided.
Required Qualifications
- Trade Qualification in Plumbing or equivalent
- Current driver's licence
- Minimum 5 years' experience in plumbing estimating, contract administration or project coordination
- Experience preparing estimates for commercial, industrial or mining construction projects
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, hydraulic services and drainage installations
- Experience interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications
- Experience preparing tenders, quotations, variations and progress claims
- Experience managing project costs, budgets and procurement activities
- Experience coordinating suppliers and subcontractors
- Previous experience working in mining, civil construction or remote project environments
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building, Engineering or related discipline
- Relevant vocational or technical qualifications
- Experience using estimating, project management or ERP software
