Job Summary
Oversee and supervise the completion of plumbing and building service work consistent with high customer standards. Conduct preventative maintenance and installations on commercial and domestic plumbing systems, including potable water testing, sewer and transfer systems, and hot water system repairs. Manage direct reports and sub-contractors while planning preventative maintenance schedules and addressing minor roof and guttering repairs. Perform valve servicing, backflow and TMV testing, and minor project works. Requires Victorian Building Authority Plumbing Licence and minimum five years post-trade experience in healthcare or commercial environments. Monday to Friday, 40-hour week with accrued RDO.
Required Qualifications
- Victorian Building Authority (VBA) Plumbing Licence
- VBA Main classes – Drainage, Mechanical Services, Roofing (stormwater), Sanitary, Water Supply
- VBA Special classes - Backflow Prevention, Thermostatic Mixing Valve
- Minimum 5 years post-trade experience within a Healthcare, Commercial, or Industrial environment
- Supervising and supporting teams
- Knowledge of Work Health Safety and risk management principles and practices
- Knowledge of current industry standards relevant to Trades Services operations
- Proficient in relevant aspects of the Plumbing trade
- Sound knowledge in Building Services
- Ability to plan and produce preventative maintenance schedules
- Proven skills in managing direct reports and sub-contractors
- Comprehends and understands written and verbal communication
- Can understand and follow policies, procedures and instructions
- Demonstrates consistency in work; is reliable and dependable
- Meets the needs of customers and acts with customers in mind
