Job Summary
The Plumbing Apprentice will assist the maintenance team with plumbing installations, repairs, and general maintenance under the supervision of a licensed plumber. Key responsibilities include helping diagnose plumbing problems, carrying tools, preparing materials, cleaning job sites, measuring, cutting, and assembling pipes, and learning to read blueprints. The apprentice must adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area while supporting the licensed plumber with various tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Interest in plumbing as a trade and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching
- Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, outdoors, and in a variety of weather conditions
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Previous experience in a maintenance or construction setting is a plus
