Job Summary
Locate and identify leaks, repair or replace pipes and components, and determine appropriate tools for each job. Assist in preparing cost estimates, support the plumber on code compliance, and clean the job site after work. Address client queries while following orders and instructions. This role requires a high school diploma, age 18 or older, and a valid driver's license with three years of experience. You must be able to lift up to 100 pounds, climb ladders, and work in extreme temperatures. Flexible hours including weekends and overtime are available. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to obtain any required apprentice plumbing licenses or permits based on local or state regulations
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials, working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling tools and equipment
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including measurements and conversions, to assist with accurate installations
- Strong desire to develop skills and knowledge in the plumbing trade, with the ability to follow instructions and learn from experienced plumbers
- Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to maintaining a regular work schedule
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all tasks
- Basic understanding of workplace safety and a commitment to following safety guidelines and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers
- Willingness to assist others, take direction, and work as part of a team to complete plumbing projects
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to job sites and 3 years of driving experience
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime, as needed
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to climb ladders, access attics, navigate tight spaces, drive, enter crawlspaces, push, carry, pull, use hand tools, and perform fine detail work
- Ability to drive
- Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
- Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
- Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch
- Ability to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures both indoors and outdoors, such as heat or cold, and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice or snow
- TSBPE license as Texas apprentice
