Job Summary
Enrolled in Howe’s state-registered T.E.K. apprenticeship, the Plumbing Apprentice will assist in the preparation, fabrication, assembly, and installation of plumbing and piping systems per plans and codes. Daily tasks include cutting/carrying pipe, fittings, installation equipment, and conducting pressure testing; read and understand blueprints; participate in monthly classroom training to learn troubleshooting and blueprint reading; maintain tools and work areas; and carry out additional assignments as directed. Eligible candidates should be mechanically inclined, able to follow directions, capable of working unsupervised, and willing to travel to job sites. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check are required. On-the-job and classroom training provided to qualify as a Licensed Journeyman Plumber.
