Job Summary
Engineer plumbing and fire protection systems for diverse NYC commercial, residential, and institutional projects; drive production of construction documents in Revit; perform system sizing, equipment selection, and design calculations to ensure safety, performance, and sustainability; coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and wider MEP teams; conduct field surveys and construction administration tasks to safeguard design intent; ensure compliance with NYC Building, Plumbing, and Fire Codes and uphold quality control across multiple tasks and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
- 3–5 years of dedicated plumbing and fire protection design experience within the AEC industry
- High-level proficiency in Revit with proven production-level capabilities
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and standard industry design tools
- Strong foundational understanding of building systems, including domestic water, sanitary, storm, gas, and fire suppression systems
- Familiarity and working knowledge of the NYC Building Code, Plumbing Code, and Fire Code
