Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Plumber with facilities maintenance expertise to join Bizzell's team at NASA AMES, responsible for plumbing systems maintenance, inspections, and compliance with safety regulations. Relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid plumbing license
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing with a strong emphasis on facilities maintenance
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to plumbing and facilities maintenance
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in plumbing preferred
- Experience in a high-tech or research facility preferred
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus
- Knowledge of green building practices and sustainability initiatives preferred
