Job Summary

Plumber at University Hospital in Madison, WI — Install and maintain bathroom fixture equipment, medical gas piping and alarm systems; install and maintain domestic and special water piping (softeners, deionized, RO), sanitary and storm drains, pumps, and related systems (medical and industrial air compressors, RO pumps, and lab/vacuum systems). Requires a High School Diploma or GED, five-year plumbing apprenticeship, and 3 years of plumbing-related experience; Wisconsin Journeyman Plumber License upon hire, Cross Connection Control Tester within 6 months, and ASSE 6010 Medical Gas Certificate within 6 months; valid driver’s license with age/experience requirement. Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Five (5) year plumbing apprenticeship
  • 3 years of service, construction or installation of plumbing system work experience
  • State of Wisconsin Journeyman Plumber License Upon Hire

  • ASSE 6010 Medical Gas Certificate within 6 months
  • Valid Drivers License (21+ or 3 years driving)
